Credit Card Accounts

A credit card is a type of revolving credit. If the individual finds themselves unable to work due to illness, then they should check with the card provider if there is any payment protection insurance on the card. This would allow the insurance company to make the payments to the card company on the individual’s behalf. It is important to make a claim early so that the account does not go into arrears. Sometimes the insurance will not pay out if the account is not up to date. If there is no protection payment on the account it is important to deal with the debt as quickly as possible by either direct contact with the creditor or through an advice centre.
